BRIEF:

Dr. Hang Le has been serving as a Vice Provost for Duy Tan University (DTU) in Vietnam since 2012. DTU is ranked among best 3 universities of Vietnam by Times Higher Education in 2026, top 482 universities of the world by QS Rankings 2026.

With a strong commitment to transforming students’ lives, Le is the co-founder and director general of P2A (Passage to ASEAN), an ASEAN entity recognized by 10 AMS (ASEAN Member States). P2A, representing a network of over 150 ASEAN universities & colleges, promotes cultural appreciation, workforce education, social innovation and regional collaboration among the higher education community of Southeast Asia.

MAJOR PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Duy Tan University, Vietnam

  • Vice Provost (2012 – Present):
    • Oversee international academic programs and faculty development
    • Contribute to strategic planning and institutional advancement.
  • Vice President, Board of Trustees (2021 – 2025):
    • Provide governance and strategic oversight to the university's financial operations.
  • Faculty Member (2001 – Present):
    • Engage in teaching, research, and service activities within the university.

Passage to ASEAN (P2A) Association

  • Co-founder (since 2012):
    • Played a pivotal role in establishing the Passage to ASEAN Association.
    • Lead the strategic planning and governance of the P2A Association.
  • Director-General (Since 2020):
    • Provide executive leadership and strategic direction for the entire P2A Association.
    • Lead the operations of the network of over 150 universities across 10 ASEAN countries.
    • Facilitate academic mobility, academic and internship exchange programs.

KEY INITIATIVES & PROJECTS

  • Editors-in-Chief (EiCs), P2A Research Journal: EAITTi - EAI Endorsed Transactions on Tourism, Technology and Intelligence (ISSN: 3078-5855). Led the editorial and strategic direction of two prominent research journals, ensuring high academic standards and impact.
  • Founder, ASEAN Research Network approved by the ASEC: Established a collaborative platform to foster research partnerships and knowledge exchange among ASEAN universities.
  • Founder, ASEAN AI Council approved by the ASEC: Provided a platform that empowers ASEAN faculty and students to explore artificial intelligence while fostering meaningful dialogue between university stakeholders and policymakers on its effective and responsible use.
